its just another sign of the time unfortunately people just pour the words onto the screen with no thought for legibility punctuation and page format are not even considered alas it starts in school children are not taught the basics its the message that counts eh at the end of the day its just pure laziness which is so ingrained its now the norm written communication is a craft and craftsmanship is a thing of the past and has been replaced with a fuck you attitude the internet provides a vehicle for the masses to demonstrate their illiteracy and laziness what do you think

I can't read them as they turn into big blocks of letters like one of those wordfind puzzles.

As you can see I like line spacings. I heard when emails became popular this type of layout became the norm among the savvy.

What is/ was the reasoning behind it & are we allowed to kill those that don't leave spaces?
Text Block are OK for me but

I did not find your page easy to read.

(Please note the double spacing this time)

Thanks for your replies however I still don't know why certain people do it.

As far as the typeface/printing stuff etc yeah ok I can see why but we were never taught to write like that at school. Books aren't written like that & paragraphs are the usual way to split up ideas etc.

I only became aware of it when I got my first pc about 10 years ago so wonder why people started it & why some continue.

I guess I am one of a few that find it hard to read & also frustrating as there are usually good ideas in there that are struggling to get out & be read.

So you type a line and once you have finished that line or sentence hit enter twice??

    Is that what you do?
I ussually just hit enter once The paragraph thing is easy with the symbol i guess

Are you sure? Maybe I need to have a better read then, as its not often I see a good idea on here.

Texts/online posts are often a big ramble about the same 'idea' so should be one paragraph anyway. Its when you change 'ideas' or topics that you should put in a new paragraph. People who put too many in also annoy me, cos you can't just skip a paragraph that covers boring or already known stuff.

I also don't put as much effort in here as I do for work. Although during my thesis writing I think I've become more aware of shit writing style, thus improving my own. But after spending most of a day ensuring 'good' wordsmithery, I can't be fucked going too hardout on some forum posts.

It is interesting that I do put in the double-enter, as in word documents the line spacing means you only hit enter once. Guess it is just about making it look like what I'm used too. Speaking of which...
