Never met Barry, but having recently done a return trip on the Santa Regina I can highly recommend Bluebridge as a company and this ferry to travel on.
Friendly helpful staff, well presented boat, great food/bar/coffee and it's cheaper than Interislander to boot, not to mention a lot less fluffing around at either end.

real deal and yes can vouch for Baz his last name is Shipp. Also stellar personalised service on the bluebridge for sure Baz n staff really looked after my mum and neices when we did a day trip over. Can't comment on service on the other ferry, as I always make sure my sailings are when Baz is working

Thanks for the offer Baz- Deals like this and the fact that you have worked for them all this time just reinforces my feelings that Bluebridge are the only way to cross the strait.
I will try to find some excuse for a trip.
