Has tattoo technology changed much in 20 years?

I'm just wondering how some of that fine line ink will look when those girls are 38.

My pals that got ink 20 or more years ago have blurry patches of colour where once was well defined details.

My shoulder tats have feathered edges somewhat in the 10 years I've had them too.

Yeah .. it's changed -- I have tats that are more than 20 years old, as well as a current piece that is unfinished and last worked on last Friday (four days old) ... the technology is a lot the same - still electromag-driven guns and some rotary guns - the inks have changed though the colours available now are stunning ..

One of my tats more that 20 years old needs a recolour - but the lines are still OK ... one of my 20-year-old + pieces the fine lines are still fine lines and the one on my ear has survived very well for 12 years in the sun all the time

I think it depeds on the ink, the workmanship, but more importantly whereabout on the bod it is ..

Ed, why is it every time theres a long possibly controversial thread you pop up, someone says something you don't like, and you start slinging off insults, generally about intelligence, personal choices or beliefs and then when the tables are turned, start whining about being sick?

Reality check dude. You are just as bad as the rest of us. A true debate does not resort to insulting anyone involved, and it certainly doesn't need to sink to the level of childish name calling. You could take this personally, and say I'm unintelligent and immature, but from where I sit, you need to think long and hard about how you want to be treated by the world.

I actually started this thread and if you read the OP you'll see why. If you read their posts you'll also see they come out on threads I am involved in with the sole aim of ridiculing me personally and post such drivel and nonsense, nothing to do with the thread theme.

They make silly assertions and personal attacks, increasingly insulting, and seek to derail the thread into a personal vendetta against me. You pop in from time to time and see one or two posts and take them at face value without seeming to know the background.

It is a game they like to play and many members have PM'd me about how idiotic they make themselves appear. I posted one such comment above. I have posted several on the RR thread in response to their challenge to prove I get them.

I should I suppose, ignore them completely, but as long as members like to see these things going on, it keeps people amused and interested and gives them something else to talk about. I do confess to enjoying baiting them along to see just how far they'll go to prove how immature and petty they are, and it seems they know few bounds in this area...

I don't "whine" about being sick, either, if you read that in context of the other posts I was responding to. You need to take everything in context, as in isolation you could get a wide range of interpretations on it.
