The harold has done Kylee & her kids no favours in publishing this crap. That she has admitted trying to influence the course of justice & had that spread accross the biggest paper in the country is truly amazing. Next time she should consult with a lawyer

I don't blame her. Having had to put up with two years of intimidation (ongoing) from family members, physical and verbal abuse included, I can understand the desire to run. As much as you picture a supportive environment for this woman, most of her family will be staying the hell away, to try and avoid any fall out and there will be an undercurrent of distrust. She has a cast to her face and a look in her eye I know well.

There is nothing to protect her from this guy when he gets out, he will have to hurt her before anyone does anything.

Yes its sad she has lost a husband. However to react like this has done her no favors other than to reignite a split debate that will like other infamous case go round in circles until someone coughs.

What she has effectively done is attempted to sway the Justice system, this will work in his favor at Sentencing. Further more writing to Politicians was pointless as they are not able to interfere with due process of cases before the Courts. She should put her energy into restarting her life and getting on with it.

Police (sorry dude I have to say this and it's prom experience) won't step in to help until after you've been hurt, despite threats, intimidation, property damage, theft, and fraud. Family members, even estranged ones can get away with a hell of a lot of abuse for long periods of time. Heaven help the victim if they retaliate. I've been warned that I'm being watched.

There is no support for victims of family violence. No one believes you that it is as bad as it is, no one will do anything until it is too late. You'll not this chap is in prison for a bunch of stuff he did prior to and after the murder. They waited until someone was dead before they did anything concrete to protect this family.

Interesting that someone said Ewen MacDonald is up for relatively minor charges. Bullshit. Arson is one of the worst crimes, according to our laws. Perhaps that's reflected in the possible maximum sentence of 14 years.
