Puncture repairs in Christchurch, while you wait?

    Crap bugger damn!

Got home after work to find a bloody nail in the rear Tyre

Could anyone recommend a good puncture repair place in CHCH (One that I can just walk in with rear wheel and get it plugged while I wait)

Try Duanes bikes n Skis but ring first-he is busy. Budget motorcycles may be able to help also.{or throw it in the car and drive to darfield to pit lane and Dons tender care]

    Cheers for that

Tried three bike shops straight after work, everyone of them said they were to busy to fix a flat ....and I use the bike for daily transport (hence the need for a speedy fix)

I will try the above in the morning ....failing that I will see my usual mechanic in new-brighton (Rodger) and see if he actually does Tyre fitting fixing etc.(No doubt the mad bugger does it by hand lol)

Many thanks for the tips mate, I don't generally use bike shops etc, as I do most of my tuning, fixing etc myself...so when it comes to bike shops & service etc, I dunno squat!

    All sorted

Thanks (as usual) to my mechanic Rodger out at Road & Race in New Brighton
Rodger was flat out busy, but as usual, was happy to see me and do a repair on the spot (Only $20 for plug patch)

I have been using Rodger for years now, and I just can't recommend this guy highly enough, he's always happy to see ya, always does a great job, and always beats every price in town.

So if you KBers need great work done @ the best price, give Rodger a call on 033828410

    Thumbs up

I'll make CAREFUL note of this guys name, as the inheritor of the mighty Nonda's professional caring his name shall go down in the history books.
Glad it's sorted mate, can't have ya not aboard that bewdiful machine.
Taother one is done but still at shop awaiting his return from the States, apparently they pinched the rocker cover gasket going back on, so more for THEM to fix. All done though and apparently as sweet as a nut.
It'll no doubt be over here as soon as he gets back.
Gotta try HARD to get foot in boot before then, aye!
Coal burner on operating table presently, awaiting news on chain and sprockets from the US of A. Also been written off the road legal like while I still couldn't mount up.
    Hows bubs mate?
Every day above ground is a good day!:

Rodger only does the BIG jobs for me, all tuning, maintenance etc will always be done be me (I love rolling in grease lol), and Rodger was quick to point out that he won't be seeing me much as the VFRs only require petrol & polishing (So he has bugger all chance of gettng his hands on it...altho I did promise him he could re-balance the carbs as a "catch up" job...I like catching up with him for a yak and drooling over some of the rare and odd bikes he gets in...plus he fussy & will "tweek" a few things on the bike as he goes)

Great to hear that the cruiser is all finished!, please send pics of the bike and Robs smile when he gets round to seeing ya
Coal burner will be back soon I hope ...you sure did a number on that leg eh.
Bubs is fine, my sleep isn't!..but she's getting there

Always good to hear from ya mate, stay safe and get that leg healed so you can get back in the saddle

Handy to know. Last time I needed tire/wheel work it took one shop a day just to take tires off so rims could be powdercoated. And I had to wait a week from the day of drop off to get them put back on.

And one place I think was going to charge me $50 a wheel to fit a tire on!?
