Tech books in Newmarket will order manuals in for you as well as stocking a range of m/c manuals. Cant recall as to their pricing though.

I downloaded a PDF F650GS manual from the Microfiche site in Canada. Don't need it now, so if anybody wants it, I've got it on disk.

Initially, I thought you might be being sarcastic, however I converted the $US34.25, and it's $NZ56.03, so no, there's not much difference, and if you buy it locally, you support NZers. If we all bought everything we could via the internet, we'd end up either driving local prices sky-high, or cause NZ businesses to go bust, or both.

Having said that, I recently bought a throttle positions sensor and two brand-new APE camchain tensioners over the internet, and even with freight the combined total was less than the cost of the tensioners on their own from the only NZ agent. Hey - they're $US49.95 each (that's ~ $NZ163 for two), so how come the agent wanted $NZ135 EACH for them??
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

Isn't it all to do with supply and demand ?
Mind you the local guy might also pay heaps of import duty

Supply and demand? What's that got to do with it? He didn't have them in stock, and would've had to order them from APE, same as me. Presumably he hadn't had many queries about VTR CCTs, and he took ages to reply to my email. The only reason I contacted him about buying them through him was APE don't have facilities for internet orders (phone orders only).

It might have changed, but the last time I checked Customs website, motorbike parts were exempt from duty (apart from GST when sold).
    So I don't buy that.
And it couldn't have been freight, as they are small, and don't weigh much.
I paid 10 poooonds freight to have them (and the TPS) couriered from the UK.
    ... and that's what I think.

I was thinking of buying one of those.
Is it any good? Most of the work is fairly straightforward, but there's the odd thing that I need to know the details for. Usually I just send a post to the UK Firestorm forum, or to the Superhawk list in the US, and get some kind of a semi-sensible reply about how to do things.

The Firestorm manual is pretty useful (for me). Also when your bikes in bits and you want a torque setting or something, you can just look it up. Convenience mostly. If you want some scans or summat, PM me.

    Haynes don't do the 400.
I found japanese part microfiche and english service manual on ebay:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...902064827&rd=1

It would appear if you speak dutch or spanish, then you can get haynes style manuals as well, just not english. The factory service manual is your best bet.

I have the Haynes manual for the FZR600, 750 and 1000 up to 1996.

I also have the complete Yamaha parts catalogue in .pdf format for the 1987/88 FZR750 RT/RU Genesis for those of you who have those bikes.

Send me a pm and I'll email it to you (it's 854kb).

And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    Have 90 VFR750 Manual. Want 90 CBR1000 One

Have a printed out copy of the Service Manual for a 90-93 Honda VFR750 (which was downloaded for free, still have the PDF file). Free to a good home if anyone would like it.

Would like the ownership manual and the Workshop manual for the 90 CBR1000FL, if anyone has it (or knows a web address with a free download).
