Hi Sean, we will be leaving Pie Here probably 2-2.30? on Friday....from Alfescos along the beachfront.
Saturday ride is Ahipara/Kohukohu/Mangamukas/Ice creme....

Just don't do 'a Doogle' and leave it somewhere on the motorway the morning of the ride...
Pack on the bike is best, Gremlins post was right.
There'll be enough available hands to assist in the removing and placement of said pack..

It's not the removing/placement of the pack that worries me - it's the removing and placement of my arse on the seat whilst retaining some form of dignity!

Be sure to check your battery fluid level. Push starting for most of a weekend can significantly reduce dignity levels, especially with fairly new boots which catch my pack - hypothetically.

F-G = Whangarei/Paihia 72kms...Lunch stop/fuel top up if required.
G-H = Paihia/Coopers Beach...82kms..

Less is more! Two pairs of clean knickers - given. Two tops, one lot of thermals top and bottoms, shorts. Jeans/trackies/long pants of some sort. Two pairs of socks. A sweat shirt, a hat, sunblock. Toothbrush/paste, hairbrush. Other footwear, mine will be slippers Deoderant...

I think that is all...
