Yeah, he sure as hell isn't a "Wow man, look at me, I'm handicapped, I deserve a big handout, feel sorry for me" kind of guy.
Puts all OUR problems into perspective eh? - he CAN'T do anything about his predicament but he just 'gets on with it'.

Life can be cruel, can't it? An outdoorsy kind of guy gets MS of all things.

    Cool

He has had MS for a few years now.

If you can all remember back on TV3 when he did the weather forcast.
Thats when he was diagnosed with MS.

He went down pretty quick.... from being able to walk to going into a wheelchair, but he seems to have stabilised it for the moment.
    Which is great.

There are many different degree's of MS.

great guy. wish more people would cope with their probs like him. look how active he is, and still people with smaller probs are lining up for the dole.

Yeah it was some time ago...
I can't remember who he took the job over from...
At first he was standing up and then all of a sudden he was sitting down doing it with a long pointer stick.

Then he left and continued on doing his 'Fishing" tv show.

I don't think back then they knew how to cope with him going down hill so fast. Or he may have asked to leave the tv weather.

For most people its not just the disablity but they way people look at them my uncle had a stroke and had to quit his job he stayed at home couldnt bare the way people looked at him because he had little control of the left side of his body making.
