Sure is a sexy plane. They should of used heat wrapping on the pipes though.

Yeah, the Mozzy is a massive drawcard this year, huge interest in this beastie.

I've just dropped off the signage at the Aerodrome and the smell of that special fuel is in the air!
Hope the weather holds out, bit schizophrenic here in Rapa.

Some people are only alive because it is illegal to shoot them.

Should HAVE, not should OF. FFS, it's not that complicated.

I saw it on it's first outing back in September - a high-speed low pass by that thing is incredible. So fucking quick.
The most amazing part was that at that show, they were only giving her something like 60 or 70 percent throttle because the engines were still being run in and the airframe is so new.
Theoretically she should be good for something like 380 mile an hour

Being a German train driver and having one of those things appear over the treeline with wings full of HE rockets must have been a pant-shitting experience...

How can you not love a carrier-based fighter that's powered by a turbocharged 2,800 cubic inch 18-cylinder radial that pushes 2,000 horsies through a 4 metre diameter prop?

Sheeesh ... so now you've added language Nazi to al your other far right idiocies ?

He meant "should've" pronunciation very close to "should of" .. it's bad spelling not wrong word choice !!!

It's not just poor pronunciation, but the word choice itself is wrong.

    Anyway......

I got to see and hear the Mossie, P40 and Spit T9 flyover while eating my lunch today.
I dropped my lunch and ran to the window.
Oh, the sound of 3 Merlins and an Allison roar overhead my office building is purely awesome.

+1 I saw and heard that too, pretty cool. Someone in the office jokingly said that was the entire NZ airforce and one of the Indian dudes here thought he was telling the truth!

    Errr... it's NOT turbo-charged... supercharged. The P-47 had a turbocharged R-2800

    Cameras charged and can't wait!

The Mossie is the major draw-card for me but anything with a Merlin rocks. Nothing wrong with the Corsair (or all the other stuff too really) either...
