These days I think they just seem to be the "official" gang of the day and their socialist masters (misstresses) are a bunch of bloody wankers. God help the future of this country and our grandkids. They arrested the citizen and let the criminal go. Please tell me if I got that wrong!! John.
    You haven't got it wrong - IF YOU BELIEVE WHAT THE TV TELLS YOU!!

    There's probably a certain amount of fact in the story but a lot of it? hmm, 'media beat-up' springs to mind.

    Not an ambo myself but I was first on scene at a pretty nasty accident one night. Just before it occured the place was deserted - just us stopped at the lights, the car full of people heading across the lights and the dumb-arsed drunked fuckwit who thought he could turn in front of the other car. After the inevitable crash the road was lined with drunk onlookers that seemed to have formed out of the very air itself (we never saw or heard them arrive) and then the next thing you know, they're wandering amongst us while we're trying to administer first aid. I told one obnoxious bitch to please leave and less than thirty seconds later she was in my way, loudly proclaiming "oooh, yuck" at the messed up person I was trying to help.

    I wasn't quite as polite this time and she gave me a filthy look.

    Fucking retards.

    The ambulance arrived and there was the paramedics, and four of us trying to sort our way through a much larger crowd than could have fitted in the two cars involved in the accident.

    Fortunately none of the rubber-neckers got aggro with us or the paramedics but it was rather disconcerting.
    Motorbike Camping for the win!

    There's nothing better than trying to attend to a patient when you're surrounded by drunken onlookers - for some reason one of them always wants to have a go at you - mostly because all they see is a person in uniform and their first thought is that it must be a cop.

    People who are grieving can be unpredictable - I've been kicked in the back while trying to do a resuscitation, and had a punch thrown at me (fortunately he missed) when trying to resus a baby.

    Most of us have very finely tuned sixth senses.
    I have some suggestions, and I'm even willing to pitch in a few bucks to get you there... I reckon you could get creative with
    * Mace
    * A few mods to the heart cardio zapper thingy... make it a "knacker zapper"
    * Handcuffs

    Do it right and you'd have someone cuffed with their hands around a tree, eyes screaming for water, and black and blue balls in no time!

    OK scumdog if you are a cop and do know the facts put them on here (with in reason) so that we can appreciate the other side to the incident. Its getting so I don't trust anybody any more.
    I had five of my cousins in the Police force and quite a few friends, not one of them left in there now. I watched an officer deal to my second son for a minor speeding offence a while back. There was no dispute about the offence and my son is a man of very few words so there was no dialog on his part. The way that cop spoke to him was a bloody disgrace. He just took the ticket and went back to his family in the car and drove away. My respect for the Police just disappeared into the ethos. You will have to have a good story to make me believe the TV pricks have got it "all" wrong. I sure hope you can deliver. Cheers John.

    John, not going to get into a bun-fight here, check your P.M.s.

    All I can say is sorry your son met somebody like that, I have yet to have anybody have cause to complain about my attitude and feel sorry when members of the public tell me about the negative experience the had the last time they were stopped by Police.
    What can I do???? Probably nothing but I do try an reverse the negative perceptions caused ny others.
