    General maintainence thread.

As a result of the spanner evening the other night and repitition of the same questions quite often Im thinking we need a TECH TIPS thread/forum.
I know its been suggested before but Im thinking we should get a thread stickied with nothing but tech tips in it.We have enough stuff on file here to create something quite decent.
No idle chatter or feedback would be in there just the tech advise.
My thinking is that for example the brake bleeding thread could have the first post edited by its author to take into account any feedback placed then cut and pasted into the tech tips thread.
    wadda ya thingk folks??

You might wanna create two threads - one sticked as you said, and the other where people propose things and argue over every little detail as tends to happen.
The contents of this post are my opinion and may not be subjected to any form of reality
It means I'm not an authority or a teacher, and may not have any experience so take things with a pinch of salt (a.k.a bullshit) rather than fact

maybe a forum, with a mod moving all the good ideas from threads to one almighty sticky thread with all the arguing removed

Feint has been good enough to put together 3 or 4 threads on tips n tricks.. that'd probably be a good start. And yeah, thought it was a good idea all along.. Often, if there's something I don't know how to do, I search the net. Why search the net if it's all in one place?

At the rise of the hand by Policeman, stop rapidly. Do not pass him by or otherwise disrespect him.

Not possible, this is a public forum (free speech, freedom of expression, etc). Also I think it will be quite difficult to prove that the login used was not hacked into and abused.

    Great Idea Frosty

actually BJ that was what jogged my memory
sorta like JSG's thread on bearings--its been done before heaps of times.
Yea thrash it all out in a normal thread then once its sorted transfer the fully informative post to a thread of its own
The other thing is --why have 3 tweaking and tuning forums--why not just one -a wheel bearing is a wheel bearing

The skyline club forums that I browse have a very good tech tips section, written by the members for the members.
Go to http://www.r31skylineclub.com/ then click on the tech info button (top of page 3rd from left)
