    Vf1000f2 engine rebuild

    Hi There

    We are new to this site can anybody advise us on a couple of things . We have just purchased a 1986 vf1000f2 full fairing model . Can anybody advise if these are a rare bike and what would approxx cost be to rebuild the engine also reccomended rebuilders for this.

    dude the cost rebuild going be alot its reboring the v4 bores as they have to bore them at one time

    Go ask at car engine firm i got qoute 500.00 to just get my vt 250 crank welded to build the bearings

    heres one on trademe i thought i seen one on there last week was going cheap

    check out ebay you may be better of buying second hand engine athough cost freight be high if to far away

    you can email him and ask he got mint vf 1000 still that seems he rebuilt

    also check out this web site for more info it be nice bike to fix as like fj says you can save money and learn new skills
