Long shot but has anyone got a link to parts or service manual if there is such a thing available on the interwebz.
We are talking about the GP bike not the road bike.
Cheers

One of the guys on there is Steve Wheatman who owns essentially the Suzuki rolling museum (has a heap of RG's)
XR35 is the works bike. Are you talking more the customer RG500GP Mk6/7?
Also, drop Croz a note http://www.graemecrosby.com/ he rebuilt a Mk1 (eg XR14 copy) a while back for Grant Dalton (yes, THAT Grant Dalton).
he knows the odd thing about RG's and XR's....!
Jimmy Steadman I think still has his RGB.
Alan De Latour in the 'Naki is also good with RG's.
I see you're in invercargill...are you not talking to John Beck ?
Mike Sinclair is still around ChCh...and he probably wrote the manual.
Will have a look at those sites don't know too much abou the bike, as it is someone elses.
It is John's bike.
He has talked to Croz about it. Apparently it isn't as easy as you think to find info and parts for them, being 30 year old and all.
I will pass on the names etc, he may have talked to these people already, but I apprciate the help anyway thanks guys!
yeah, tell me about it...there's a good network for Yamaha TZ's for parts and knowledge, but less so for the Suzuki RG's.
I hear it may be ignition. Worst case, get hold of Murray DeLacy and get an HPI. They do a 4 cylinder 2 stroke version which fires off pairs together. Is a complete unit and not 30 years old. better advance curves too.
021745549 MDL is the importer.
Check the website www.hpi.be look for HPI universal 2 and 4 cylinder ign
