    Bucket Power

To All you bucket racers out there, How much HP do you think your bike has at the wheel? I am pretty happy with my scooter and just wanted to compare it to your buckets.

YES! Just found a barrel- now I will have some HP, but not very many.

I do know of one bucket down this way that started out with 7 and ended up with 14 or so

have a gl145 in 400 impulse frame. atc200 barrels and piston with 8mm chewed off the bottom and xr125 stroke. original 145 head, thus creating 14:1 compression. took so much aloy outa the ports, i thought they were goin to colapse. Have gotten it up to 170kph in 1.5kms. will have to put the old girl on a dyno to see hp. out acelerates my best m8s fzr750 and in the impulse frame can do pretty impressive stoppies. Any other bucket owners think they can beat that?
There is no dark side of the moon, really, as a matter of fact. Its all dark...

That's a single barrel from a 250 twin, sleeved down to 100cc, custom power valves, etc etc, in a RS125 frame. It produced 27.5hp at the rear wheel on Brett Robert's dyno, with a very nice power curve.

My current bucket makes 22.5hp at the rear wheel, well it did when I built it. I can give average RG150s a good run at Taupo or Puke and have kept slow ZXR400s honest at Manfeild on the full circuit.
