For anyone interested, I will be still going down to the duck pond tonight in case anyone shows up. Need practise on disgustingly greasy roads as I commute to work every day on my bike.

Ended up being seven of us tonight, including Andrew Templeton who had one of the guys practising"hero stops" and "feet up take offs". So after the ride I go back to the duck pond and try them out. Had about a 25% success rate with the hero stops and around 60-70% with feet up departures and 40-50% with feet up, start, depart's

hero stops? Is that coming to a complete stop,then taking of again without putting your feet down?

Would Andrew be able to come out by any chance next week?

Hero stops are pulling in to park and kicking down the side-stand, coming to a stop and then dropping on to the stand in one move. I kept trying to drop onto the stand before I had come to a complete stop

you be a real hero if you did that on my bike...the side stand is spring loaded,as soon as you release the weight of the side stand it flick up.It wont stay down unless the bike is leaning on it
