Wasnt it Sam Morgan that tweeted that?

GM certainly has been rather vocal with his ideal since selling off his Sons invention!

who helped save the Wellington Phoenix after it was almost sunk.

And no matter whether you like them or not,the Phoenix have done a lot for wellington, even if its only the amount of coffee I drink when I come there to watch them play.

I do hope these others do well or stir some shit at least. I find it funny that so many people say the same old thing when it comes Trade Me rivals, either:

"No chance. They'll get crushed" (I hate this negative attitude)

    or

"I hope they do will cause trade me charges too much".

And yet no one supports the newbies. I gave Sella a go when selling my 250, I think if you have a fixed price it mind, it's stupid not to go Sella. I sorting the wifes Shoei to sell so will give Sella a go and will also put it up on with this one as well.

Trade Me is definitely only in it for the shareholders now (which they should be if I was a shareholder). You certainly can't say they're trying to make a better product when they made a $75mil profit and still raise their fees by 5%. Good for them to be in that position but hopefully kiwi's will come to their senses and start protesting with their feet. But holy shit are we a slow bunch!!

    I will be supporting them.

I should really sign up to Sella as well, but it becomes a bit of tossing around to be listing stuff on 2 (and soon 3 or 4) different sites.

How come Craigslist hasn't cought on in NZ. It is 100% free to buy or sell. That fits the Kiwi way doesn't it? It is huge here. I look at it every day. My job, both my vehicles, polaris sportsman quad, rototiller, chain saw, computer desk, fileing cabinets, gun case, wood splitter, paint sprayer, wife (not really) coffee table, rug, camera, lawn mower, roofing tin etc all came from CL at great prices. Lots of great free stuff too. Not to mention the stuff I have sold.
I am totally baffled as to why it isn't bigger in NZ.

I still think it would be a good idea to have a site which searched all of the other sites, TM, Sella, etc. Use that to get heaps of users, then offer a better deal for sellers.

    Well so far...

Wheedle has pretty big issues when in Firefox

Issues in IE as well but not as bad.

    Runs very slow in both.

And I don't like how they've arranged the categories (ie.. if you want to list motorcycle parts, you have to first click you are listing a vehicle).

Problems logging in and staying logged in, like when going into a listing to edit it. Was better earlier today, but quite bad now this evening...

tardme if fucking expensive. $49 to list a vehicle classified? what the hell, man? what the hell?

list the same vehicle (my scooter) for $2000 by auction and its $49 PLUS the success fee.

I will definitely be supporting the competition.

Seems so far Wheedle is glitchy and full of broken links. Plus blatant copy of trademe, wonder how long they'll last...

Same can be said for Sella, nothing's happened to them so far [where law suits are concerned]...

Does anyone know/remember why eBay didn't start u here way back when? Surely they must regret that now?

For buying and selling lower priced stuff, I'm certainly missing the 'LOOT' magazine that used to come out weekly. I sold a lot of good stuff and bought a lot of junk from that mag.
