Less shiny is not an outcome i would be particularly proud of! If I was honest I did have a small bit of distrust in the tyre at one point on tauranga direct rd to Rotorua the other day. It just felt a bit weird when cranked over sort of like it was about to let go.

    From Power One to S20?
I'd imagine 003RS would be a more appropriate replacement for Power One if you are going to Bridgestone?

It would be if I intended to use the bike for regular trackdays. I am replacing the tyre that came with the bike. Not my choice. It's for mainly road use. I think the tyre was put on just to get a warrant for the sale

For a track day or so, that second photo looks ok-although as Drew said, hard to judge the No of heat cycles. I rate the power ones and have had good results on track with them[clubmans/A group type rider]. Probably not the road tyre of choice-the s20 sounds much more sensible-watch them on the track tho!

Interesting. Have you heard bad things about the S20r's on the track?

Sounds knee jerk to me. Given what we've experienced from our S20s I can't forsee many road bike riders making them do anything unexpected.

They put the s20's between the 023 and the 003. A replacement for the not so popular 016.

I think the s20 would be a fantastic tyre...I like 016s...which have served me fine when my road bike is on the track....however I would not have 016s on my trackbike obviously when I can run super corsas etc. PB have rated the s20s as high as you guys....but comment that they get slippery and a little quick to let go when pushed on the track[and had an expensive realtime r1 woopsie to back up their findings]....obviously a better place for the r10s. I imagine the s20 would be a fine tyre in most situations for most riders, but cant comment from personal experience yet.

The S20 front was great on the track. Now to replace the rear which stepped out a couple of times but was very predictable....Dunlop roadsmart sportmax.........
