They do work quick but boy they can knock you for a six for a couple of days!

All the best, mate. We need to look at ourselves occasionally and just appreciate what we do have.

Well what a difference a week makes.... A week of strong antibiotics anyway...

I'm not feeling my old self (lets face it thats nothing to write home about) but bloody close and a whole lot better...

Once a decent infection gets going in us type 1 diabetics our blood sugars go off the scale which makes a perfect breeding ground for more infection etc etc. I could literally feel the heat (and pain) around the kidney / bladder / groin area not to mention the feeling that your head is on fire and about to explode… Very miserable and very dodgy.

You know we bitch and moan (well at least I do anyway) but when I think about it the first insulin injection was given in 1922 and penicillin was really only available in the allied military in the early 1940's (war years)

Ie less than a 100 years ago I would not even be alive to bitch about being sick and 70 years ago I may have become sick enough to perish from this...

Recession not withstanding - has there ever been a better time to be alive?
