My engagement ring is 5mm wide with a rubover setting designed with motorcycle gloves in mind. My wedding band is 7mm wide. Yes they are huge - I have no problems riding with them. I never take them off, and they have been present during several dirt bike "incidents".
I also have many earings with aren't an issue with my helmet.
Talk to the person making the ring and surely they can figure something out.... I have seen some wide rings that have the underneath part much thinner to allow for better finger flexing - this could work for you maybe?

Well done ... He won't want a divorce. He'll be worried you'll take them back.

But I think the OP's issue with rings ... is more to do with tightness of grip on the bars. And position of the controls. (Brake and clutch)

I eventually progressed to my 900cc Hornet... and he has regressed to a Harley...

Back to the rings, I found larger grips and thick leather gloves helped with comfort, plus you soon develop callouses

It just comes down to what you get used to.

And wearing them also doesn't cause any more injuries if you come off. They just bend and then you can use them for really expensive key rings
    ROTFPMSL,

I'm still on my first ring and it's as tight as it ever was. I didn't realise you could get your ring replaced when it got all worn out, great news for all the Honda riders out there.

Indeed. Everybody in MY family has sold their bikes after marriage thus far, opting for SUVs or stationwagons... Personally, I see it as a disturbingly over-sensible state of maturity.

OP - As with everything involved with motorcycling, there is a safety element to consider. You'll workout what's comfortable for you.
