    2005 VMCC CHAMPIONSHIP

    2005 VMCC CHAMPIONSHIP

This may not be Moto GP but if you want to follow your fellow KB's racing through a whole championship, well here is your chance!

Myself (Sudeep Giri - # 15) competing in F1 (Superbikes)/F2 (Supersports) and Two smoker (Chris Sucich - # 38) competing in F3 have decided to do all 6 rounds of the Victoria M/C Club Championship for this year.

Why VMCC? Well me and TS both haven't had the luxury of starting racing at an earlier age so we have to do every thing in our hands to catch up with some of the others in the field. At the moment, the VMCC Championship is going to be, the most difficult out of the other Championships around the north Island. This is because all 6 rounds are held at Manfield raceway which is the most technical track on the North Island and not only that, but these races are going to take place through out the extream conditions of the NZ winter. We will be facing freezing conditions at the track even when it is not wet and when it will be wet, the track is not very forgiving with it's rough and slippery surface. From this our aim is to come out of the championship with maximum skill gains for the ammount of time spent on the race track.

    VMCC Championship Rounds

    Round 1 - Sat 23rd of April - Long Circuit - 3 X 6 Laps.
    Round 2 - Sunday 21st of May - Short Circuit Clockwise - 3 X 6 Laps.
    Round 3 - Saturday 25th of June - Short Circuit Anti-Clockwise - 2 X 15 Laps.
    Round 4 - Saturday 23rd of July - Short Circuit Clockwise - 2 X 15 Laps.
    Round 5 - Saturday 20th of August - Short Circuit Anti-Clockwise - 3 X 6 Laps.
    Round 6 - Saturday 24th of September - Long Circuit Clockwise - 1 X 6 Laps & 1 X 30 mins.

    Keeping track of us

Following the races has never been easier, with the help of transponders. Unlike the AMCC and PMCC races, transponders are used for all VMCC rounds. All you have to do is go to http://www.mylaps.com after a race day and all the info you need will be there in black and white. Accurate lap times per race and all the placings per race, per round will be shown on this website and kept for future references.

Many thanks in advance for taking interest in our racing and I hope we'll see you down there at the track if you can make it. If you can't make it, we will put the racing action into words to the best of our ability in our race reports, after the event.

    Regards, Sudeep Giri.

    Note

    - This thread has been made into a "Sticky thread", which means it'll always remain at the top of the racing threads for easier reference for the future.
    - Any further information about Vic M/C Club itself can be gained from their official website (http://www.vicclub.co.nz/).

Thanks for the map too, Sudeep.

I particularly like the fact there appears to be two toilet blocks on the fron straight. Nice touch for Ducati riders.......

There will be way more racers than what's on that list. There are a lot of slackers who entered at the last minute (like me), who are not mentioned in the list.

A man can move much faster without a millstone around his neck, so if he gets the chance to lose her he'd better drop her and run like heck !! .. (10cc "Modern Man Blues" - Deceptive Bends)

I wasn't aware that Ducati riders went to the loo any more than any other bike riders. Can you enlighten me? Am I missing something?

Cheers man!! Your kindness is much appreciated. I'll let you know as soon as I have a plan sorted. I've got a bit of a crisis but will have things sorted as usual.

BTW, this thread has now been made into a "Sticky", so it'll be easier to check back for anyone wanting to do so in the future.
