yea try not to camp in the exposed area. get there early and get in the pine tree area. its a lot warmer and you wont have to chizzle your nuts off ya leg in the morning.

    Cold Kiwi virgin

Will be Tenth year for my eldest son (stu_dog) and I have actually decided to join him this time. One of my other KB sons (Gunner) is also keen to go so looks like it is finally going to happen for me this year - unless someone can talk me out of it (any good excuses/reasons why I should NOT go will be very welcome)! Will be travelling up from Wgtn/Tawa on Friday - if anyone else around here wants to meet up/tag along with us please get in touch.
    pretentious moi?

How long have you got to listen to my reasons??!!!

Seriously though, give it a go. The worst scenario is when it's wet. I understand that they're not as cold as they were in the old days - maybe partly to do with the new site?

Believe it or not, I've done seven (7) in the past when I was young and silly! All at the old site except for one time when they used a site by the airstrip. Anyone remember that?

One time it started snowing on the Friday night just as we were arriving. They closed the road later than night, and it just kept snowing. Absolute magic to wake up to tents/bikes covered in snow.
