Look for my Red/blk/Wht R1, and a boring looking silver gixer.

Heard today that they have metal'ed the driveway in. Last year was a complete mud bog! Hopfully its better than that, as ill have a fully loaded bike and a pillion.

    sweet as mate...

will be heaps better that they have metalled the road. was getting worried that it was going to be hard going, still pulling the mud out of my radiator from last years experiance. however i still reckon it would be best to be there as early as possible cause it wont take long for the road to get messed up
yeah... sorry bro, i thought that ment miles 'n hour.

I'll keep a lookout for you. Another bunch is leaving from Caltex Rimutaka at 0900 up the back way to Hastings, where the boys go over the Gentle Annie to Taihape while the girls carry on to Napier and over the Napier-Taupo Rd. We all meet up in Taupo for the night then down to rally on Saturday.
(boys bikes - F650/Pegaso/GS Suzi, etc) have a higher ratio of steel to plastic than girls bikes - R1/SV1000/Firestorm, etc)
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

get a message half way through doing my airfilter.
'you going to the pub thing tonight'
    > huh FEK its tonight?!?!?!!?!

finish up as quick as I can, gear up leap out of the door and onto the bike like a cowboy and slam the kickstart.

    Vrrmmmumumum meeeehhhhhhh.....

hmmm must be the colder spark plug i put in. try again and again for 20mins and find myself halfway down the road. fuck I hope its not a bung spark or something taking the tank off is hard enough not to mention when its dark. get back and realise it could be the air filter.

pull the whole thing out and try start it. after a couple goes it Ring a ding ding dings to life. turns out it was still to oily to work. wringed it out good while the engine was running and put it back in....
    Vrrmmmumumum meeeehhhhhhh.....

    shit arse cunt.

wring it out some more and gun the engine like crap while inserting it......

A RING DING DING DING DING WOOHOOO

and I sped off to takapuna. got there.... called BJ - no answer, called HDTboy.... yeah man its next week.

ok so. gay that I rode to taka unnessesarly
but more importantly, YAY that I fixed it tonight and not at 5am tomorow while preping for cold kiwi.
