They have awards now for people that have successfully sued dispite thier own stupidity.

i think one winner was a guy who brought a new motorhome, got on the freeway and hit cruisecontrol, then calmly got up to make a cup of coffee. Strangly enough he crashed. He then successfully sued Winabago for SEVENTEEN MILLION DOLLARS and a replacement camper.

Another was a guy who saw a taildragger (plane) in a mag and wanted to fly one. Worth noting here these aircraft are particuarly difficult to fly as they sit pointing up when taxiing. So he enroled for flying lessons. Weeks went by and he decided he was ready for his first solo. His instructor disagreed. This guy broke into the air club late at night, stole the keys to the plane, took it out and not surprisingly crashed at the end of the runway. He then successfully sued the air club for making the keys too easy to steal, the instructor for not teaching him well enough, the aircraft manufacturer for making a plane that was difficult to fly and even the mag where he got the idea from in the first plane.

Crazy eh?
