I have to say Akunar are awesome to deal with, especially if you deal with the main man direct, Rakuna Davis. I ordered cams and o/s piston a while ago and it never arrived He was good enough to send replacement parts. Bit of a cock up all round. NZ Post had no record of it even arriving in the country but the original package turned up back at the Thailand Post Office, after apparently making it's way to NZ but being unable to be delivered as the address on the parcel wasnt correct. Was just a shame that NZ Post still insisted they had no record of it here in NZ, oops .
Anyway you can email him direct and ask what you want regarding the FXR, sales@akunar.com Just ask about 1mm oversize valves, H/D valve springs etc. Apparently it appears that some FXR's here in NZ have FXR125 cam shafts in them, some have a 6mm bolt for the cam sprocket and some have a 5mm bolt (125). They also use to do a complete head, with oversize vales, springs, race cams etc but unfortunately it's too expensive now as they need to source a new head.

You dont need the plugs in the ends of the cam shafts either, and the reason the shafts wont fit the locator slots in the retainers well thats the 125 again I guess.
Apparently Im the only one to have had these issues, problem is there are 3 others I know of running the Akunars that had exactly the same problems. The shafts can work quite well, its just a shame they need to be modified and come with zero set up data (or support).
