    Another Builder question

    Seeing there was no 'yeah me's' for the anybody a builder.
    Can anybody recommend one?
    We're going to do some renovating and structural changes.

    If you don't have any luck, ask me (or pm) and I'll see if I can find someone. The only problem is that most of the chippie gangs I know work for housing companies, so they are usually kept in full time work, but there are lulls now and then.

    CASH JOBS ARE ALWAYS GOOD AND WEEKEND WORK FOR SOME ARE GREAT.

    but good luck as they are hard to come by.

    I have a mate up there that may be able to fit it in (I serously doubt it tho). But if he can Id recommend him, I worked with him for 7 years and hes on to it.
    Otherwise we are all busy at the moment

    I did have a reponse (apart from Dangerous being shipped in a cardboard carton)...funny Kickaha very funny.

    Thanks for all that - I'll whip up some plans and take it forward from there.
    We're talking a pretty major job - I'm guessing prolly around the $100k figure.
    But I need to have a yarn with a builder to see if it's structurally viable.

    I can't remember if some suggested laws came into law regarding value of work and sign off.

    There was a proposal to have any work over $10k required to have sign off by a registered builder, not just any builder. This was to try and stop shonky DIY practices.

    Will double check with my dad tonight...
