No he is still doing his time. Part of the punishment for his crimes is he doesn't get visas to countries like ours, just as if you had done the same thing you would not get a visa to the USA. He therefore prove his repentance, shut-up and do his time for doing the crime.

im on the fence as well, but i know dam well that if a kiwi sports star had a rape conviction there is no way he would get into the states,
if he is doing something for charity then i can understand why to let him in, but basically he is doing a paid promtional gig with some charity getting a small slice so they can use that card to get him in here, when the life education trust pulled out it was just a paid speaking arangement,

Last I heard NZ has about half its population as Female, Mike Tyson doesnt respect woman............clearly, why would we allow someone into the country who doesnt respect half our population, with a conviction to endorse it ?

Should the law give someone special treatment because they are a celebrity? Should the law make someone exempt just because of their place in society?
I think the law should apply evenly to everyone.
