    Christchurch - UR Computer

Does anyone here know what happened to these guys? I see that the website is still up and running but the shop has been completely cleared out and there's no sign or anything about any new premises.

Also, does anyone here know where I can RMA a Sapphire product in NZ? I bought a video card from UR Computer but if they really have shut down then I have nowhere else to send the faulty card to.

You'd probably have to contact Sapphire in the first instance.

Looks like Dove Electronics is listed as Sapphire seller in Christchurch. Nothing else in Chch, PB also listed, but doesn't show them on the RMA list. You'd need direction from Sapphire, otherwise the local ones probably wouldn't honour any warranty. Also possible UR Computer simply direct shipped from China or like...

The BDOTGNZA hit squad took exception to their name?

RMA is for newbs anyway, just install linux cyanmod and overclock it.

That's not very helpful... now who taught you to be that helpful?

I might just do that, I already have Android running on a VM so I should see if I can run CM10 (Jellybean). But can one OC a virtual CPU?

Well, its all relative, you're already running at a slower clock rate right? So just lower that a bit further and it will give the same effect.

I'm not too sure. I know that CM does have an overclocking feature built into the OS, but I'm not sure what affect (if any) it would have on it. I'll try and set it up and do some benchmarking.
