    Copper spacer/wing

Some progress tonight on the copper cylinder spacer.

Also got some fresh/er tires on the FXR. I spoke to Gavin at Tokoroa about the Conti-raceattack cut slick he was running on the rear of his FXR. He said it was going really well for him and preferred them to the Bridgestone. Whilst I know everyone has their preferences I thought I'd give it a go since David Diprose had some for sale after the nationals. I'm running a Bridgestone front. Will be so good to ride on some half decent tires again, those Dunlops I had on there were well and truly dead.

    Roys Hill NI April 2014

Damn that was a good weekend!
    Congrats to:
Regan for taking out another round (possibly the champs if there isn't another round),
Rick and Scott for a well fought battle for second/third,
Tyler for impressing and winning the last race on Henk's FXR,
Will for picking his game up and qualifying 6th in A grade in front of a lot of fast riders,

    Super thanks to:
All the organisers from the Pacific Club for putting on a professional and well organised race. The scrpteneering was well done with lot of people asked to add more protection and the noise control was also well done catching out two bikes which were modified quite easily.
Melissa, Brian and Tim for setting up and running the timing
    Anyone who waved a flag
The lincolns for putting up a bunch of rowdy drunken bucket racers

Cheers to my dad Simon for taking the photos. I spent some time this morning editing and posting them so go have a look

    Clutchy

I've spent forever looking into brakes, clutches, sprockets etc for the RS. This turned up today with the brake disk waiting at the post depot for me too.
CR/XR style clutch lever and perch from trademe. $19 delivered. Awesome.

I chose it because it had a stepped down lever, and didn't look like it was an eternity away from the bar.

I can already tell I'm going to have problems with these bars though. They certainly aren't comfortable.

You'll get used to the bars, just open up the angle some.
How strong is that clutch lever set up? I like these levers, Click image for larger version.

I'll definitely be getting some as a spare!

I don't have a brake master set up yet and have been looking on the japanese auctions for a NF4 one. They're around but I suspect most are pretty poked by now if they haven't been used. Do you use an NF4 one Kel? Anyone have a decent recommendation for a new one?

Just a heads up, the last two lots (read batches) of those we received have had all sorts of issues. Primarily with seals and poorly honed bores and sealing surfaces. Just ask Hamish...

Don't buy one buy 2-3 at least to enable you to make one good one... And it will give you a few spares. Levers break at the plunger mount check for poor casting generally on the under side (last thing you want is for it to brake when you need a handful of brakes). We have a box of shitty bits and money down the drain.

There are better ones now available, spend a little bit more and be done with it.

Thanks for piping in there Brent, I've been meaning to try stay away from dodgy brakes. Any specific recommendations?

Yip, they will be in stock shortly...
But not off alie these days, there are better options if you spend the time looking and emailing. Most suppliers are just drop shippers/brokers and have no interest around extra bits etc..

These are gone, but it will give you all the idea on what to look for.
when searching look at the body of the unit (not the levers) Cast = potentially problematic, CNC alloy = better likelyhood of success.
Again don't just buy one buy a couple to avoid disappointment (it cost a lot to ship back and your unlikely to get your money back if you don't ship)... And you will have spares...
When you order make sure you confirm what model levers fit (or if they stock them) as you will chase your ass finding replacements.

That why we tend to bulk order and accept ~10% failure rate
    (and cover the cost accordingly).
