    Ahh, words of flattery

The answer is I got enough made to sate the demand of people who responded & put some money down, it was a bit of hassle to arrange but I wanted to help the crew out & needed some spares myself. We could get some more made by Grumph, but it probably needs to be 1/2 doz sets to make it worth buying a length of material.

The FXR is an FXR. It allows me to race every month and doesn't ask for much but it's not a 2 stroke and it's heavy as hell. Light and nimble 2 strokes are what have my attention right now![/QUOTE]

    Mt Wellington February 2013

I palmed off my digital camera to my dad like usual but this time with the 300L lens on the end

I had some great fun on Sunday and improved on my times quite a bit which was great! I also tried my best to learn some riding skill from Avalon, Gavin, Nigel and David who lead from the front. Unfortunately the GP RS wasn't running 100% for Avalon but I'm kind of grateful for it because it let me try and follow when she overtook me

The below photo is a pass around the outside of Warrick in the sweeper just after passing me in the infield, that's some corner speed right there!

Congrats to Nigel for a new track record of 29.436s anticlockwise, a real sight to see!

I had some good battles with Warrick, Karl and Neil (mini motard)! Great riding guys

Huge respect for Karl who put in a 30.9 second lap on a 13hp FXR with standard wheels and 5 year old worn out skinny slicks. I have some serious learning to do with corner speed clearly! It also goes to show how little you have to put into your bike to be competitive at Mt Wellington if you have the right skill.

Thanks Kamil, Cully, Tim etc who ran the event and to the flag marshals as always

I forgot to mention, I weighed my FXR at 107 kg whilst Will Ford's CBR came in a 106.5 kg (including light weight wooden seat), an almost stock FXR with most of the road gear at 127kg and Nick Olson's FXR engined FZR at 99 kg. Quite far off the 70 odd kg of RS chassis that's flying around (jealous face)

Certainly are fantastic pics. Av always manages to look styley. I told Nige he should consider a dark visor But whatever he is running for tyres I want some.

Super solid weekend, cheers again to everyone who helped out, organised and drank beers with us.

Reagan put in a ridiculous 42.955s lap, brian broke two bikes after qualifying third and pushed the FXR over the line, I got smoked by B grade half due to a ill tuned bike (other half cos I suck), Warrick fended his son Josh off until he conceded (that would have been an amusing drive home), I believe Mel got her knee down, Will stepped up the pace in B grade, the track was bone dry and fun as hell...

... aaannnddd my old man took some photos of us. Cheers dad. A successful first away meeting for myself and I can't wait for the next one.

    Barry Sheene Fest 2012

I almost forgot I went to this, and I took so many photos too. Both of these bikes sounded amazing

    Roy's Hill Round 6 March 2013

Great weekend! Here are some B Grade photos I took from the crows nest during race 3. My old man took lots throughout the weekend and I will post those later on.
