Its not to bad series, the harleys some of them ride, do not look very 'bikey gang like' tho
While the bikes may not look very "bikey gang", goddamn the story's getting good in season 2 don't you think?

You know how most TV/movie depictions of motorcycle riders completely suck arse?
I have found one that doesnt. This TV show is called Sons of Anarchy. Season 2 has just finished airing in the US.
Basically (for the classically trained among you) the story is Hamlet, except the setting is an outlaw biker gang based in a fictional Northern California town.
It sounds kind of lame, but as with all TV it is all about the execution. Here we have a really good cast (Katey Segall, Ron Perlman) plus a number of people who you've seen before, and the writing is top notch. If you enjoyed "The Shield" (which is in my view the best cop show made in the last ten years) then the guy behind the Shield (Kurt Sutter) is the guy behind this (he also plays a cameo role in it).
This is TV like the Sopranos that has you cheering for the "Bad" guys, and pondering the whole thing of who are the bad guys and who are the good guys, really: that whole thing of its not black or white, just shades of grey.
This is totally worth using some of your "broadband" capacity to download, or do what I did and get the DVDs from Amazon.
Bonus for motorcycle riders: Most of the cast actually ride. Sure, its all Harleys but they're actually riding.

This is teh same show that people on here were calling ghey 6 weeks ago
Cheering? Harleys?
It's pretty clear most bike show producers aren't bikers, because they miss the plot every time.
Biking is about the cameraderie, the skills, the machines, the journey, the destination, the adventure, and the bit they completely miss - the feeling of it.

"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
"Wow, Great advise there DB."
WTB: Hyosung bikes or going or not.
I got to series 1 Episode 4 and gave up....what looked promising ended up rather lackluster.
there is a lot of setup/exposition in those early episodes that pays off later in the series.
and its only INCIDENTALLY about bikers: like the Sopranos was INCIDENTALLY about the Mafia.
I dont give a crap what anyone else thinks of it to be honest, I like it, Ive shared my opinion, and if your opinion is you don't like it, well you're entitled to a misguided and wrong opinion.
