"Being rich clearly does not give you skills transferable to areas outside your domain of competence,"
    Morgan (trade me founder) tweeted.

However, being rich can buy you enough advertising to establish a sustainable market share, then it is up to the consumer whose service is better. I hope he does well.

Another site I hope does well, is payload.co.nz which would give users a chance to get money from providing goods transport (to places they are going anyway), and buyers get cheaper rates.

I'll give it a look-see, all they have to do to be successful is not allow $0 listings or anything that isn't near the actual price to show in the search and it'll be a winner in my eyes!

There needs to be some competition to TM as they have turned to shit since the jews took over with their high listing fees and fuckit forum mods.

I agree, the price for listing shit is crazy which is why I listed the Hyo on Sella and sold it without costing me a cent

I hope this new site works out...I'd still buy off tardme though

so how did it sell without costing you a cent, if there is no listing fee they must have a success fee, or they wont be around for long, any competetion for TM will have to be outstanding to succeed and if they get close TM will buy them out which is probably one of the reasons for having a crack at it

Mainfreight, huh? Might work with potential synergy there, especially if they offer cheap or free shipping as a component of the shipping options for sellers.

TM certainly needs the competition as they are so 'forgetful' when it comes to refunds. Pity Sella doesn't seem very strong but then what can you expect from Telescum...

    Bring in a new face!

Trademe have announced that they are putting their success fees up again. Getting too fat since their IPO, I'd definitely look at selling my Hyo250 elsewhere. Any takers BTW?

Ebay charges 9% I think, plus another 3% for paypal on the buyer side. Monopoly economics, charge a shitload, then do everything to ensure nobody else gets to the tipping point of user numbers.

A quick google suggests that is the case, but no, I'm not sure.
