    These are the 2 17's I have dude, will be keeping the tires though for another project.

    Well, I'm glad that regurgitating this thread did somebody good.
    I took the hump at the resounding silence so bought another bike instead. That's the rim fund gone. And the Chrissy pressie fund. Food & bill payments will be scarce for awhile, too. Really miffed I was.
    Just as well I'm a lateral thinker.
    Happy again.

    Someone ask Kickaha but I think I remember him saying something about the GN250 front hub being the same as some of the wire spoke Katanas (550?)

    Same hub as al the small single and twin disk zukis of the era as far as I know.

    I wonder if I can get something reasonable on to a 2.15? The GN front is 2.3ish

    Reasonable knobbly or reasonable road? Rim size stamped on and next size is 2.5 from 2.15
