    Furry little bastards

How do I keep the neighbors cats from shitting in my new garden? White pebbles and daisies don't look attractive with a shit sitting on top of the stones.

If I was able to catch the bastard(s) in the act, I'd deal to them but I need a solution that will work without me needing to keep an eye out.

Allegedly they don't like orange peel, pepper or chilli, the cats. We had a fenced garden & the same problem. We ran axle grease along the top of the fence, it worked a treat but somebody kept wiping it off. Must have gotten fed up shampooing their cat....

    a) shoot the fuckers. take a day off, grab a box of beer, and wait.
    b) cage traps (expensive) once they're in, you can hose them off, which either discourages them from coming back or makes them even more malicious toward you, apparently spraying them with petrol is more effective, burns the skin. pain=bad=don't come back.
    3) leghold traps (cheap) nail the trap to your porch/fence, kitty walks on it. kitty is now attached to fence, treat as with step b (or knock it on the head with a hammer and chuck it over your neighbour's fence, (or throw it on the road if you're one of those people))
d)plant catnip somewhere else in the garden, then they'll go and shit over there.
    Q) a saucer of full cream milk with powdered asprin in it. (causes major brain hemorrhage apparently - works with seagulls...)

Just sit close by with a water pistol, when the cat comes along, squirt it. They are not fans of that.

I'll try some chilli and pepper. Though how long that'll last once it rains is another matter.

Leave a small section with some soft turned over dirt. The cats will go there instead.

Agree,, they love the taste apparently, ( except the bloody cat I targetted),

For dogs, try cooking chocalate rubbed well into a couple of cold sausages.

Just spray it with some citrus scented cleaner or something, they hate citric acid and the smell of citrus. (Could you imagine citrus on your naughty bits?!)
