    Keihin cvk 32 carb parts

I have a Suzuki gsx 1200 with a bank of Keihin cvk 32 carbs on it. It has a "stutter" off idle as it transitions onto the main jets. This is probably slight wear in the needle and needle jet. I am finding it very hard to track down parts. Has anybody some good overseas carby parts suppliers they recommend who specialise in harder to find parts...or other ideas?

My guess it will be the needles and seats. This dude is in Whitford, auck. Ignore his site and e-mail or ring him. Hes never not had a carb part ive needed.

Not a huge fan of these carbs just at the moment, but there are some new float valves from them amongst this pile of crap on my bench....

It seems it will be easier for you to get Kawisaki bits for your carbs than for me to get suzuki bits strangely enough, judging by my time on the net.

I e-mailed him-and he may be able to help, but Rogson of this forum is feeding me some very useful advice on this bike and his experiences in dealing with the same issue. Very helpful....

Needles & seats indicates float needle, but likely as OP said slide needle & jet, yes they ovalise.

Look at the factorypro website. have to dig a little but you'll find good info on there & the emulsion tubes (needle jets in 'mercain). Had to do the RF900 ones + epoxy the slide runners that were worn. Dumb things.

Do your plugs look dark, esp on 1 or 2 cylinders?

The Kawasaki ZZR400K ran CVK D32s, I have some parts floating around, my eyes are rooted though so I cannot check for needle wear
There are a shedload of bikes running d32s

Main's and needles are not acting just off idle though. I'd be more suspect of float heights at low rpm. (or sync)

Checked float heights-all at 17 mm plus or minus 1mm.Carbs were in perfect sync when I checked them. Rogson of this forum has the same bike and has a jetting solution I am in the process of obtaining parts for-the Inazuma 750 is derestricted, with thinner tapered needles still fitting the jets plus bigger mains and a better flowing air filter. Will be interestiong.......

Put new plugs in as my first problem solver-the old ones that came out certainly looked sooty/dark....whats your diagnosis?

My RF wore the carbs more on the left side for some queer reason (or was it the right?) but it used to soot up plugs in a couple of cylinders making it run bad. The emulsion tubes were ovalised & new ones sorted it. Although those wore in about 10,000 as the slide plastic runners were worn (groove, worse near bottom). So I ended up boring out the old tubes & getting a good lathe operator to make some inserts drilled to an exact drill size of what the old good ones were & super glued them in place. See naff drawing.

RFs & bandits share some parts as Suzuki like to parts bin build which makes sense.

Nice solution! But are they Mikuni? The keihin have a seperate fuel jet that sits on top of the emulsion tubes. If these new needles dont fix it I will try to source a new set of these.

oh hey, internet blindness. Suzukis using Keihin? well I never. I assumed it was a Bandit 12, but I do know the gsx12 now I probe the brain a bit. Rounded tank thing. Oh well, same sort of rules apply. Bright torch.

Can I publicly thank ROGSON of this forum. He gave me solid advice that saw me replace aircleaner and needles with gsx 750 ones, needle shims, new main jets and pilot settings-result is fantastic! Problem sorted! Also thanks to those who offered advice and ideas.
