    Wheel-less no more! (Stucati)

Hello everyone, well I finally feel like I have arrived in New Zealand, despite moving to Hamilton last year I have been without a Bike since I arrived
It was getting very frustrating seeing bikers out enjoying the fabulous roads, I felt like kicking my car when I drove anywhere
I was totally stoked when after months of searching I found a great bike at the right price. Took some doing I am sure you can appreciate!
I took it for a first ride out yesterday, and I can tell you it was awesome! High winds and the odd shower couldn't dampen my spirits, because when the sun
shone and the bends just kept coming nothing short of a disaster would have taken the smile off my face!
I look forward to many more days like this, and meeting you guys out on the open roads.
    Stuart

    Pretty in red !!!!
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

Welcome Stuart, and nice bike. Been here (NZ) 22yrs now. You havent 'started yet' mate, seriously. I know there are some awesome roads up round the 'tron, but wait till you come down to the Wairarapa and the 'Taka's. Then once you've cut your teeth up here, I have to agree with 98tls, I lived down South for 14 yrs, and even having ridden through Europe and lived in the UK, I have never experienced biking like the South... the roads are just awesome, especially when you know the area and can start using the 'local's routes going places'. In 1992 when my Beemer arrived from the UK, I had to ride from Dunedin to Inver's... My wife told me I was like a boy with a new toy. all I could go on about was I only passed 5 or 6 cars in a 2.5hr ride.... As much as I love the riding up here ('rapa etc) when you ride to Milford Sound, through central Otago, even the scenic route to Te Anau or to Queenstown, it's just bloody awesome!

Cheers for the welcome, guys and gals!
I fully intend to explore as much of the country as I can, and meet as many kindred spirits as possible.
As you say GrayWolf I haven't even started yet!
Baron so far It is on a par with the black bike I left in the UK, however I am having to re-calibrate the grey matter to NZ weather and road conditions.
Akzle hear hear! roll on summer, hopefully a long and glorious one!

Keep it shiny side up everyone!

    Hi Stu, and welcome!

I might see you around the 'tron one day.

As the weather takes a turn for the better I seem to be seeing more bikes out on my commute. Can't wait to get onto a few more group rides this summer. My bike should stick out amongst all the sportier ones!
