On another note - just spoken with Air New Zealand about what I can take with me on the flight.

When I mentioned the word "tools" she put me on hold for ages. When she came back I was basically told I would need to take a fold-up bag and put the tools in there (literally couple of screwdrivers and shock adjuster wrench) in 'checked in' baggage.

    Bit of a pain.

Last time I did this and I flew domestic I had a bag full of tools and a cigarette lighter in my jeans pocket. No-one even questioned it. But that was 4-5+ years ago !

One thing that hasn't changed is that all other road users are out to kill you.

Well we made it back !

Arrived in Blenhiem Tuesday afternoon and got back about midnight last night. Not bad I thought !

Was fantastic - was as if I never had a 3 year break!

...now to get rid of the awful 3 year old Shinko tires on it !

    Hi ya Disco

Been a while mate. I've only just returned on here and to biking myself since having my wee girl. Funny how a lot of folks disappeared off KB around the same time.

Anyway, as a way nervier rider than you, I reckon you'll be just fine eh! Like everyone said, the tricks come back, so all you have to watch out for is everybody else.

    Have fun!

Naaaww, congrats! Gotta love them little ratbags.

And a lot of the entertaining crowd left, but there are still a few die hards hanging around. Just not posting as much I guess.

A few new hardcore cretins have joined in as well unfortunately, but you always get those
