We all have our little obsessions...
This is going on in a mailing list I subscribe to.
I love Morbid, he's so needlessly creative at times.

All the cool kids are playing mutant death gore splat 2 these days, ptyaa, wow is so last week.

MDGS2? Bah, so out of date it's not funny. Massively Multiplayer Offline Role Playing Games are all the rage today.
I'm currently on this one with, like, four or five billion subscribers online at once. There's probably twice that many accounts, but most of them have been terminated for lack of activity. I'm not sure how many servers it runs on, but it's available with next to no lag pretty much anywhere in the world, and you can migrate your character from area to area without even having to log out.
Graphically, it's pretty sweet. I've only really noticed the draw distance drop off on days with really bad weather. Nighttime could do with a gamma correction option at times, but there's plenty of light sources available, and most city areas are lit at night anyway. And the physics engine? I haven't seen one better.
I figure it's still in beta, though. If you zoom in too much, it's hard to tell both where things are and how fast they're going at the same time. I suppose that might be a precision bug like on those early Pentium processors, though - hopefully they'll patch that eventually.
There is one downside to patching, though. Occasionally they'll make tweaks in the code and a whole slew of things go weird. For instance, after the Alzheimer milestone, a bunch of older characters started losing their experience. They're apparently working on a fix for that in a new release, but a number of experienced players have already quit in protest :-(
I'm running this character called Dave. He's a lvl 5 University Student (CompSci major) - though I cross-classed him as a Web Developer for a while, I'm going back to build up his Student job XP for a while to unlock some more career tracks (though I must admit, the Thesis Quest is a right bastard).
I had a bit of trouble getting him started, though; he kept getting caned in PvP, so I mostly worked up buffing his intellect and academic skills to start with, and kept away from the power-levellers. I've built up his physical and social skills quite a bit since then, though, and he's capable of a pretty good range of emotes nowadays. Some of them are even funny. He's not in too many cliques (at least not compared to some), but he's at least joined a couple of subcultures, and seems to handle talking with people from far-off areas pretty well. Financial upkeep's a bitch at times, but he's got
some fairly decent clothing and equipment, at least.
Anyway, I hear subscriptions are still open, if you'd like to give it a go sometime. Just try not to be one of those n00bs that just sit there screaming "OMGWTFBBQLOLOL O N0ES WHERES TEH M1LQ??!?!?!111ONE" all the time. They make my ears hurt.
