Nostalgia's not what it used to be

Cleaning out the attic in preparation for a visit from the batman and came across a box of "treasures".
Taken in the mid 70's I think. Brendon ? in the VMCC T shirt in the photo of Julia (who's surname I don't know) and Chris Bishop. Plus my first competition license
I think it was one of the early 6 hour races, but not sure - Definitely more than a tank full of gas require judging from the interesting looking re-fueling rigs

Cheers Wharfy, you're older than I thought ? I still have my first ACU licence issued in 1970 I think ? Glad I kept it, it's covered in those little coloured yearly renewal stickers.

Oh yeah, the only time I made the papers was because I was slow enough for a beginner photographer to focus on me
New Zealand Day* Moto-Cross Taumaranui (1976 I think)

I wouldn't swap our era for any other Wharfy. We probably didn't realise how good it was at the time.
85 onwards I only followed GPs when I moved to Aust.
NZ racing was something we never heard about over the ditch.
