    Official release on KTM.com 01/10/13

Stunning ! KTM released full details and production pictures etc today.

The stats speak for themselves. I would love one of these...it's a plan.

180hp 144nm 189kg and for me the good news was in the one area I expected them to cock up, like so many new models are these days, tiny fuel tank. Nope, 18l and claims of very good economy. This is shaping up to a real do it all bike. And it's a good looker.

I am betting Akrapovic do a roaring trade in new exhausts for this! The bike looks sweet, the exhaust... Not so much

Uh, that's KTM talking... my KTM wasn't economical until 6th gear... and that needed 120kph+ Ride it like it's intended (you won't have a choice, you'll just want to) and the economy will get even worse...

Wait till you see the price for the akra...

Not liking the headlight shape, doesn't seem to quite look right to me. Would be mental fun to ride though...

1190 Adventure, 2 up, full luggage, fully loaded for 4500km around Europe with some fairly high speed stuff, averaged 17.5km/L. Pretty good I thought.

I was going to disagree, but I see they've changed from the prototype underslung muffler to a more conventional rig.

I don't much like the new one either...

I love the two-tone wheels and high exhaust of the prototype compared to this. Wonder why they toned it down?
To keep with the 125/200/390 family look perhaps?

Personally, if I bought one I'd "prototype" it.

Me too. After the swelling went down a bit from the thrashing 'er indoors would give me.

I like the RC8 style exhaust, could never understand hanging the plumbing out in the breeze like that.
