I got leds on the front and incandescant bulbs on the back and a thermal flasher unit designed for leds works fine. Has done for a while now. Narva part number 62130bl from memory. The kwaka plusg is the same so it plugged right in.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

okay. i so got a bit keen today. bought an HD12 relay, the LED 'cators i was lookin at.
now my HUD is dead. no revs (assume hall effect?) no speedo (still) fuel gauge shows up but not correct?, oil temp sensor... is f*ing odd any way. no GPI, high beam indicator.. blah.

    and it's raining.
    fuck it all.

eek Electric Voodoo - OR: The ghost in the machine

    - replaced fuse, HUD back up
    - put LED indicators in (drilled 3 holes more than necessary )
    - put new hd12 relay in
    - old relay was 2 pin. bike wiring diagram and wiring is for 3 pin which hooks into brake light switch.? so replaced with two pin hd12 rather than hd13.
    - continuity on switch tests OK
    - continuity to relay tests OK
    - black at rear indicators measures ~3R to ground

    les problemmes:
    - brake lights are now (i'm fairly sure it worked before) anti-brake lights, ie on when lever is not pulled. off when pulled.
rear brake switch doesn't seem to do anything.
    - indicators don't f*ing work.
-? hot at rear indicators measures ~10R to ground irrespective of bike running/not, relay connected/not.?
    - indcators dont f*ing work.

Could be missing an earth somewhere, same as the disco lights you see on the back of cars when the indicators are turned on, things finding their way to earth through the lowest resistance bulb which in your case would be the brake bulb. Operating the switch would effectively put 12V on both sides of the bulb and make it go out.

Might be worth sticking an earth direct to the brake light bulb earth and see if that fixes it, otherwise it's fucked in which case I'll give you $5 and a bag of chips for it.
