These have been sitting in my garage for a while and I'd rather see them on somebody's bike.

They are long with a bend which means they could be adapted to fit other bikes.

Genuine stainless steel Ducati exhaust cans. I took them off my ST4 at 18,000k because I had a clever idea but wanted to keep them just in case. Decibel restrictions are in the wind and these pipes are at the European standard.

Long story short - wanted the bike to snarl louder. There are tutorials on the nett showing how to open up Ducati exhausts. http://home.earthlink.net/~desmoduck..._modpics2.html

So...leaving work one evening I noticed a set of Ducati SS pipes for sale which looked the same as mine, put a bid in thinking they'd go way over $200...got home and found myself to be a winner.

Once they arrived it was clear an extension was needed to reach the header pipes which turned into quite an engineering job for the guy who did it. Decreasing diameter, on a bend, with a double skinned connection. But it was a lot of fun too.

Anyway after boring various holes and experimenting, I had a Ducati which sounded like it should. You can too.

These pipes will be useful for anyone needing to replace their originals or who would like to experiment as described. The ST4 has the 916 motor so they should fit similar Ducatis. The best thing about them (apart from being SS) is they are long and can be cut down, unlike the short pipes I bought to replace them.

Length 900mm. Attach to header: internal diameter 47mm: external diameter 53mm, both approx.
