David Shearer is the man to lead Labour?

David Shearer is the leader of the labour party, as some of us know.

Rolling Phil Goff (a good public speaker & motorcyclist) for the leadership position, he has stamped his persona on the position and led labour to where it is today.

Another David is right behind him, perhaps with dagger in hand, asserting support but not ruling out the threat of toppling his leader after having a nice christmas holiday break.

Are we in for an entertaining beginning of 2013 in the "red corner"?

Like a poll on Kiwi Biker will influence the Labour caucus.

And really, who cares? The Labour Party is visionless and directionless. If the Greens wanted to they could easily make a play for the disgruntled beneficiary vote that Labour stalwarts think is theirs of right.

I agree with Hitcher, the GREENS will become the left wing party of choice....namby pamby middle of the road politics just doesnt cut it no more.Like its pretty hard to see much difference in the 2 major parties what with all the spin & the trade agreements both have signed us up to....

Shearer is weak, a 21 century version of Bill Rawling, Cunliffe is shady looking and that Parker chap?...well, he really does look like a Thunderbird character...

Weirdy there is some sort of press release today. How coincidental.

The NZ Labour party.....Shearer is a nice chap, but comes across as a bit of a dweeb! The heirachy are too busy keeping themselves in power to actually form a credible opposition. The MSM report all sorts of fantasies, aimed at keeping Cunliffe away from the front line - probably fed to them by Mallard! Crunch time will come in February. If the current collection of time-servers and over-ambitious incompetents stay in control, write Labour off in 2014 - unless Key sells the All Blacks to Tasmania - that might wake up the sleepy mainstream!

I should be PM. I'll get the country up to scratch, and then the "cleansing" can begin.
