    Teknic magnetic tank bag

For me, this was the ideal sized tank bag because it wasn't too big. It has a carry strap so you can take it with you off the bike, and is big enough to hold a useful amount of stuff. Its been used half a dozen times, only for rallies.

230mm wide X 250mm long X 150mm deep. In real world terms that's big enough to insert a 5 litre container...if that's the way you roll.

Most of the other stuff I'm having to sell is unused and in brand new condition but the tank-bag has been out on the bike - because it was just so useful. Easy to get at compared with opening panniers or digging through layers of clothing searching for wallet, cellphone, camera, beanie, snackbars yadda yadda.

(Or get a BMW RT which has glove boxes in the fairing)

There is a clear map pocket on top.

Tank bags are waterproof but it's wise to use plastic bags inside. As best I can recall, once when the bike was parked in pouring rain the map became damp.

I think I paid $120 to a bike shop in Dunedin for it when their Oxford equivalent was $160.

Edit: price should say $45 but can't edit it.

Shipping? Golly, didn't think about that. It's heavy because of the magnets and the thought of them tossed in a freight bag with cellphones cameras etc makes me shudder. Anyway say $6: and if it costs me more no worries.

Shops up here ask for my bag on entry, and then put it behind the counter. A few times I've had to return and give them scissors, knives, coins and other small sundry objects that stick.

    Price $45

Just realised must have had a rush of blood when I posted this ad. Meant to ask $45. There's nothing wrong with the bag but it has been used and isn't a high end brand.

I might be keen but need to wait for the pay day - do you have the model for this so I can check out some reviews?
