    What the hell

    Got back from the gym, put the bike away, something not quite right. Some bastard had pulled the rego' holder off the number plate, left a hole and put a couple of creases in the plate. My wife said "why would someone do that?" "Because they can" I said.

    Because they were too cheap to spend the few $$$ they cost to buy ... Replacement Rego labels are free at any post shop.

    Lesson learned. Don't leave the bike unattended in a public place. It's sad that this sort of shit happens, but with the way people are it's the only option to keep your bike safe.

    Just saw OP came from Rotorua. Only place where the motel I stayed in made me park the work car in their garage for fear of it being either totally stripped or fire bombed. How anybody happily lives there with the shocking crime rate beggers belief.
