Reliable engines - Where to buy?

Cheers guys. Yeah I have chased up quite a number of engines now. I don't think I'm going to be getting an engine before the South Island rounds. Really disappointed. My Mum has an SV650, although it's the 2009 model which means twin spark plug head. Is this going to be a major issue? Will it really be much slower? Also, it has done a fair number of Kms too. Around 30,000 I think. If anybody knows anyone that would be okay to loan me an engine or anything like that, please let me know!!

Nah, the twin pluggy is fine mate - just swap fairings etc over as Chops said, as the airbox / injectors are different on the later models.

This years Nationals saw nothing between the pro twin bikes which was great. It was all down to rider skill basically. I doubt there's much difference power wise between truly stock SV's so grab your old lady's and come have some fun bro!
