seems it was a nice ride... all the bikes looks big - so gues it was a fast ride.

Who is the one crashed the bike..? man that was bad but lucky enough bike didnt go in that ditch..... that would be very sad then

I won't say, just incase. But yeah, he was lucky not to find that ditch.. He and the bike seperated before the ditch anyway, so I don't think it would have been too bad, but the bike could have been a mess. And it wasn't rider error, or speeding, or whatever that caused it. I saw the lot, and it was just bad luck.

The ride was a good one tho, the smallest bike (I think) was Draco's CBR400 and wasn't too far behind everyone else.. was a good pace most of the day

Thanks Bugjuice for loading the pic of my Honda having a rest. The bike realizes I'm so old that I needed a rest too. Yeah more bloody luck. V.ros that wern't no ditch but a washout dropping into a gully. It coulda been my graveyard it was that close.
Anyway up to that point it was a bloody good ride and thanks to Bruce and Death for organising it.
I'm a bit late responding to the thread but I would like to express my thanks to all the guys and gals that stopped to help me up and get the bike going again. (that excludes all the "funny" comments of course). It was a hell of a way to introduce myself to the Hamilton bunch.
Good thing the missus hasn't noticed the damage otherwise I'd be in deeper shit that I usually am.

Kin hell paul, i didn't realize the state off your "rest", the CBR aint a MX bike and the sooner you get to terms with that the better mate. I must say though for a honda it's handling your abuse quite well, i'd be well pleased if it was my bike.
Catch you this weekend, we can ride up and down the motorway, might be safer

    BTW nice pics Kit

Sorry to see that the poor honda has taken a nap but good to hear that you are positive about the situation.

How are yah Saul. It was the Whangamata side of the the traffic lites around the big washout. It was the turbulence from LB an Death,s passing that did it. Nah I was too close to Sixpack kinda forgot I'm not racing a pushie where 50mm off a back wheel is not close enough. Anyway it was good to meet you and hopefully we can catch up again soon.
As for you sixpack yah Aussie mongrel I ain't giving up an the bloody bikes not cursed. I'm just gonna visit a tarot card reader before each ride to check to see if its OK to continue.

Bruce, I take it you never gave that advice to Mr $kid? Or did he never pay attention, as usual?

We left around 10am from Papakura, got to Kopu little after 11am, had lunch (longer than expected stop) at Whangamata, onto Waihi and back the same way we just did, you would expect to be back in auckland by 5pm easy, er with no hicups along the way eh Paul the group had all sorts of riders, just because they were mostly bigger bikes doesn't mean they are all fast riders.
