    huh.
Fuken... Lost a lot of my cds, and have vague recollections of throwing out floppies ('im never going to want THEM again')
so does anyone have the actual proper cd/iso for quake? Quite sure 1024 didnt fuken exist when it was released. I still have my 64mb matrox card to prove it...
Also the actual halflife game (not multiplayer engine or whatever the fuck i didnt illegally download.)
    And cs 1.6.
And if someone can get me a handled exception of T2, you will be my jesus.
And if anyone can tell me the game im thinking of, i'll let you touch my special area.

Installed windows 3.1 the other day... Someone has spent FAR too much time making shit run smoothly and re packing old shit, taken all the fun out of tweaking. I remember when mobos had about 400 jumpers to set and memory was installed almost meg by meg (with jumpers to suit) had to load the 3.5 drivers off the 5.25, windows was 6 disks long, office was fuken 30. (and linux would run on 1)...
    Sigh.
And, if anyone is retiring a heavy full size laser mouse, with trackball like handling...

I still got all the original CDS for Quakes 1 - 3. Also got Hexen, legacy of kain and a couple of other classics from back in the day.
Even got the doom board game.

I just get everything of steam these days. Can pick up everything for like $4 at xmas time.

I can't play new school FPS. How many times did you IDDQD or IDKFA Akzle?

IDclip was always hilarious going outside the map....

I also remember what happened when you put those codes into Heretic...

I was sorta disappointed when putting them into Doom 3

    "your memory serves you well!"

It's nice they remembered it, but woulda been better if they hadda used it; "god" "noclip" "give all" are such boring cheat codes

Never got into the hype over that sort of shit ay, although that game looks pretty good.
I preordered Hitman Absolution well before it came out. The day it came out I had to wait nearly 7 hours for the 20gb DL to finish and then couldn't play it until the weekend anyway. Im a massive hitman fan though so none of that worried me, until I played through the gmae and realised what a let down most of the missions were. Most aren't even worthy of a replay and the final mission was a major let down.

From memory it takes around 350+ shots with the pistol to kill a cyberdemon in Doom with the spidermastermind only being slightly stronger. Wiki will confirm the real answer. Akzle, will see if I can find that CD tonight and rip it for you

I remember from Doom2 that the CyberDemon was 4 direct BFG shots but the Spider Mastermind was only 3

I think I actually still have the official stratergy guides by Ed Dille for Doom 2 and Heretic

i found quake one.... it is genuinely less shitty than i remember. will take 2. lost interest before 3 and dont know if my craptop will run it anyway. do an akzle mega mix.

i don't get how they can make newer versions of windows LESS compatible with old stuff. 7 wont run half of my games. looks like i'm in for an xp dualboot for d3d support. fucksake.
