just clocked doom 2 again, faggots.
I'm 10 - 20 years behind. Just seen that they've put the old Risk and Stratego Boardgames online. Now there's a decent war.

I have been keeping and ear open for Star Citizen,

but atm Kerbal Space Program is starting to get fucking addicting (now that I know how to orbit, how and when to burn efficiently and how to land on the Mun AND return to Kerbin)

Also I am waiting for Eternal Crusade - WH40K goodness - FOR THE EMPEROR!

Get MechJeb before you go any further. Totally different game.

Fully worth doing a manual munar return first though.

In fact isn't mechjeb a career mode unlock at around that stage anyway? I found the mods integration with career mode pretty good last time I played, which was just after they put in the economy iirc.

I am enjoying the career mode, Doing Science and levelling up the Tech tree is where it is at....

I haven't got Mech Jeb yet, I find that joy of manually piloting to the mun and back to be quite rewarding, but I have heard good things

A Mun trip is a very small part of the experience, and the difficulty is trivial. I'm not sure what the point of the tech tree or career mode is... it's just fluff getting in the way that doesn't actually add anything Fortunately they were clever enough to allow you to bypass it

I think there is things from both ends, career is good to get into the game without being overwhelmed with part choice, and also to use the variety of parts rather than just the best ones. Then creative is good for challenges, like do an SSTO munar return mission, that shit is tricky.

http://i.imgur.com/By5R6jx.png Did that about a year ago with B9 aerospace and some other well balanced mods.

I'm not sure why the parts selection 'pages' in the VAB is still rubbish, I had sort of hoped it would be sorted by now. Get a few packs in there and hey ho where the heck is anything?

Sandbox is great - don't get me wrong, but I like the more classic approach of career mode (ie you complete objectives for resources that allow you to progress up the tech tree to do bigger and better things)

Once I have clocked career mode, I will start indulging in Sandbox - I just find that in Sandbox I tend to fuck around, whereas Career mode gives me a little more focus.
