    PC Gamers Thread

    Best game of 2012?

Best single player offline game of 2012?

    discuss...

I haven't really done much gaming this year, but I do have a penchant for epic fps campaigns, which black ops 2 seems about the only likely candidate this year?

Dark Souls. It came out in 2011 and still the best game I've ever played. Nothing released in 2012 came close.

80+ hours into Borderlands 2 so far, and plenty more to come.

+1 on that. It's an amazing game, which I only just got a few weeks ago. I'm on my 1st play thru and on level 13 and think I'll start again. Two-handed Orc build is powerful, but just two damn slow at swinging those war hammers.

Next build will either be pure magic or a duel wielding Orc.

Any recommendations regarding a possible build?

Not so keen on starting new RPGs, I never seem to get much else done when that happens...

MW3 was probably the last game (or maybe Halo 4 for xbox) that I'd put in the epic category.

So heres another question, 2560x1440 display, or a 1080p 3D display? I've found 3D movies are epic sometimes, but not nice to my eyes for the most part, though they are polarized glasses not active shutter ones. Ignoring that aspect though, is more definition better than another dimension?

Day Z is the only game I played this year. More of a mod than a game. Standalone game coming soon though.

Nothing else has really had me interested.

Was playing Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter on the PC relatively recently in badass mode. Tis still one of the best games I've ever played but put it down once I got stuck. Will pick it up again some day, but loaded up Warzone 2100 to put some hours in on a game that goes nowhere fast. It's the longest game I've ever played, feck knows how many weeks/months it takes to play.
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

Skyrim and MW3 are 2011 games if you want to get pedantic. I only play console these days but the games are still the same.

In saying that I can't pick a 2012 title as most my gaming this year has been Skyrim/MW3 too! But loving XCOM: Enemy Unknown for a modern day rehash of a classic!
