The cops will profile you on KB postings, the music and video you watch, the pron you tug off too, the speed at which you post....its all there to make a profile
With 'friends' your associations become part of your profile.
For me, having internet 'friends' is fine, but I usually dont really know them.... and I value my privacy too much, and have enough trouble with 'friends'

Oh hell... my profile will certainly come out as "ecclectic rabid horndog" then.

But as Akzle put it, if you don't want it seen, don't put it on the interdweeb.

    Simple really.

If you post something on Bookface and then bitch about privacy, don't post it on a public/social networking site...

depends. shopping websites will load your HD up with tracker cookies ot find out what you buy, if you buy from anyone else, how much you spend, when you spend it etc. this is called "market research" and enables them to target banner ads just for you.

but, if you're a cool motherfucker like me, and since you have bought a GSX i'd say you certainly are, use your real name, address etc, dont buy shit online, post heaps of contradictory shit in green and mention the silent black helicopters every now and then.
it keeps the CIB profilers on their toes...

(don't use "social networking sites" - go and get some real friends.)
if you must, get a fake email ie john smith at hotmail, direct all your FB &c accounts there to collect spam &c.

Need to be careful with passport referees too. If your referee or one of their associates has been profiled as a druggie or terrorist it may mean more scrutiny for you. DAMHIK.
